1 on 1 Pilates
Mia is a STOTT certified instructor with a BA in modern ballet and movement studies and 11 years of teaching experience. After seeing the injuries that people can sustain while being in large over crowded classes her focus has always been on private and semi-private training to ensure her clients have a strong foundation in the basic principles of Pilates and proper execution of the exercises. To establish a well- rounded fitness routine, unique to the needs of an individual client, Mia incorporates state of the art STOTT equipment, including the reformer and the chair, as well as small equipment. With a focus on reaching the maximum benefits for your particular body type and needs, Mia’s client base ranges from post-rehab individuals to top athletes. Clients have the option of coming to her private studio for solo or semi-private (2-3 people) instruction or having her come to your house. With a variety of equipment, training in the privacy of your own home provides the benefits of a tailor made plan with personal instruction and convenience.
As people’s needs vary greatly so do the type of classes that are offered. There is a gentle Pilates class that is offered for post rehab clients that have sustained an injury and need to build their strength at their own pace. Alternatively, there are high endurance classes for people looking to bring their cardio, flexibility, core strength and general fitness to the next level. If you find that you fall between these two classes, after a short consultation Mia can create a program that is perfect for your goals.
Many 1 on 1 Pilates clients live high paced lives and often have to travel. To accommodate this Mia has created videos, specifically for the individual client when they need it, so that they can work out in their hotel room with the minimal equipment (if any) which they brought with them.
